I've got a late 03 QC 6 speed long box and it's a federal truck with no cat ,curious if anyone knows of a good high flow muffler that I can basically just drop in in place of the giant stock one? Any ideas are welcome

I don't know of any that have the offset of the OEM one, but you get a muffler elimination pipe and then put a different muffler closer to the cab.

The Donaldson 40" and 51" mufflers are popular, cheap, and sound great. The 40" is a little loud with an exhaust brake, but otherwise I liked it by itself.

40" M085171
51" M090544

Just add a 2nd exhaust driven charger and run a straight pipe....nothing sounds better than a straight piped set of compounds!

Your biggest restriction to flow is the stock turbo if you're still using it. Its cross section is about the size of a golf ball.

I've got a 5" Shuttleworth and love the tone. I have no resonator and have no drone while towing. It is a straight through type as well so no flow restrictions to worry about.
Wow! I thought my buddy and I were but a few using the Shuttleworth product. Paul Fox @ Orange Muffler spliced a Shuttleworth into my '07 5.9 over six yrs ago. Throatier sound with no drone. Mine is not the straight through one. Minimal corrosion after living 4 miles from the ocean too.

Most people have never heard of them but they are a very robust muffler. Built for MDT's and the like and built to last. I actually got mine off of a dump truck that had been totaled. The exhaust system was less than a year old so I cut it off and pieced it together with a new 5" turbo back system.

X2 I like my Donaldson sounds great with no cat and no baffle.

This 40" Donaldson, will it go behind the kitty? What tailpipe are we using? How much $ is the shuttle worth muffler?

Wayne I'm honestly not sure what the Shuttleworths cost, I hacked mine out from underneath my cousins dump truck after someone ran an intersection and t boned him. In that link I posted above there is a link at the top of the page for a free quote, you might try that.

Donaldson has several mufflers that have an offset close to stock and a length close to stock. I used an M101168 which is the highest flowing of the bunch. I truly dislike drone and this one isn't bad. The only downside with this muffler is no hangers. There may be aftermarket pipe clamp-on hangers available but I just made my own and welded to the muffler.
