New guy here. Considering going from my existing 2012 Ford F350 6.7 extended cab, short bed, 4X4, Lariat to a new Ram MC. When we bought the Ford I didn't need much back seat space but we've since added a "plus one" to our dinner card, so the Mega will be a big difference over the extended cab. Also, looking to upgrade our current toyhauler to one with more pin weight so the extra 900 lbs of payload is a plus too. Anyways, I posted on a few RV forums because those guys are nuts about weights and was shocked that no one had ever actually weighed the truck I was considering. (I could have sworn those guys lived at the CAT scales...
) I have seen all the listed weights on the configuration I'm after and I know I have enough payload (just under 4k) for the pin weight of the RV I want. However, the limiting factor for pin weight is still the rear axle's 7k rating and not the payload since all the pin weight is all carried by the rear axle whereas payload is for both axles. The truck I am looking to order would be a mega-6.7-Aisin-SRW-4X4-Laramie. Maybe a few other options to add some weight. So, has anyone with this exact setup ever gotten individual weights? IE: drive, steer, and total? Any help would be appreciated and may get you all a new active user here on the forums! I'll just have to figure out how to break it to the guys at FTE if I cross over...
