Penny and I would like to wish all a happy holiday season. I have always like Thanksgiving the most!! the commercialization of Christmas is OUT OF CONTROL!! We have put up the Christmas lights for our Grandchildren and it does bring a little festive atmosphere to the season.

Thanksgiving has always been special to us to have Friends and Family gather and share what has happened in their lives this year.

YES. Happy Thanksgiving to all in TDR land. Today's the day to reflect on how this tradition got started, and also to think about what we have in our worlds to be thankful for. In our case, my Mom in law is recovering (nicely) from a horrible hernia surgery a week and a half ago, that went misdiagnosed for years. It was so bad that they had to remove part of a rib to untangle everything.
We are thankful for the medical teams' wisdom, talent and technology. She will be at our table today.
We don't get into CHRISTMAS much until my wife's birthday on the 10th. Then it's full bore. We try not to get sucked into the commercialism, but try to keep it original to its meaning. Its not easy with a teen and a tween in the house!

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Lots of changes here for us this year, but so many things to be thankful for. As I have mentioned to a few of you recently, we now are caring for my mother who has suffered several severe strokes recently. We didn't expect her to make it after her last one and it really is a blessing to have her with us for at least one more Thanksgiving. As hard as this is some days, I am also very thankful that God has given us this opportunity to assist in her care. It really brings perspective.

We just got back from a nearby SC SP been there since Saturday. Talked to the office staff the other day and they said the park is full this weekend and you'll be smelling the Peanut oil fryers all afternoon with folks taking Turkeys on the road. Looked like we missed something again, but we're spending Sunday with our kids and 2nd grandchild, Olivia and her big brother Riley.

We are done for another year, everyone is sitting around and waiting to BURST. I asked about pie and ice cream and got boooooo boooooo ed so I can safely assume that says that idea was not a good one.

Gail is singing around the fire, and everyone is falling asleep. He said he didn't know if it was his singing? or to much food. We had a very nice day considering it was a dinner for 65 family and friends.
