To long a story to put here that leads me to this next move.
I want to replace the Steel fuel lines that are in the frame.
Can I get the Stainless lines from Jegs and Shove it through the frame or do the lines have to be pre bent.
I don't have a hoist so I need to have a plan before I start.(NAPA?)

If you want to keep the factory setup then your are gonna have a bad time. You would need to replace everything from the sending unit in the tank to the fitting at the pump. If you go with an aftermarket lift pump, you get one line that goes from the tank to the lift pump unit, and one that goes all the way the fuel pump. It makes the factory steel lines redundant and they can be removed or left in place. http://www.8-lug.com/tech/1102_8l_pureflow_airdog_fuel_filter/photo_03.html

I dont know that anyone makes a replacement kit for the factory lines because these aftermarket kits exist and are very popular. There are braided steel lines that you can order by length, but they are expensive and you would need to change the fittings at both ends.

you can run rubber line.get it from larry b's it is good stuff

This is what I did with mine a few years back. Larry B's.. He has both sizes of the correct type hose you would need. Run from the fuel tank sending unit all the way up to the pump. Also make sure it's well clamped. (if you take this route) Take a good look at the top of sending unit for corrosion. Im on my third one. Pin holes will make you miserable.
Good luck......Mike

You can run stainless line if you desire,I would however, run them outside the frame for easier access.
If your replacing the old stuff I would remove it completely,no need for it hanging there.
When I went to the aftermarket fuel pump(FASS)on my old truck I ran pushlok hose for ALL the stainless lines from the tank to the pump and then front to the motor(eliminating the fuel pump/heater assembly and factory filter cannister). Then I ran pushlok hose from the return line back, placing a port in the line for the injector return and it remained that way until it was sold some 196k later.

MAKE SURE when you do replace the lines you inspect the factory lift pump/fuel heater assembly for leaks.Remove the wiring plug and check it for wetness as any sign of fuel means it is not working and could short out and create and issue.IF you decide to go to a aftermarket pump to block off the area where the factory assembly resides remove the plunger behind the pump and use a Big Block Chevy fuel pump block off plate and seal it with RTV.

Thanks for the help Hammer.
My Fuel heater was by passed 2 years ago so that is ok.
WHen the weather turns good for a couple of days I will be able to finish.
