I am a little ashamed that I had spark plugs in this condition......

But that '02 is usually parked in the winter so it never gave me any trouble. You would assume someone in 110,000 miles would have changed them but I don't think that happened, like ever......we bought it with 95,000 miles showing 4 years ago so other than oil changes it doesn't get much attention from me.....

Whoops.......

Now Hoopty is getting a set so that he doesn't get all jealous.......

Did the front four, now working up the courage for the four in the back. I can't possibly lose any more skin than I just did on that wretched 3.8L...

Anyone know if anything can be damaged by leaving it plugged in too long? I know you're not supposed to run the engine with the block heater plugged in.

Have left a 350HP 855 cube Cummins plugged in for 36 hours when it was 10-20 below and the wind chill factor was God only knows!!! No problems!! Started fine, but the fuel was so gelled I could not pull the hill out of Town!!

I keep mine plugged in all winter on a timer. The under hood heat from the heated coolant keeps your batteries a couple degrees warmer also. That is a bit of a bonus.

To the op.....the heater cord is still an option. Could be part of the Longhorn package however. It is included in the "Cold Weather Group" option on my '15 Bighorn.

It may very well be part of the Longhorn package. There was a factory winter front as well. None of that was on the options sheet.
