I wondered if you had disabled the waste gate.
See this a lot on CAT 3406 engines where the driver has zip tied the waste gate line off to get up over that hill a gear higher. The intake side is only capable of compressing a finite amount of air. When the exhaust side side keeps on shoving the shaft will snap off. Every time.
Ok well its been about 3 months since I had the intake tube off, it was fine then. As for the waste gate, its not hooked up its lock shut, I think as for cause the shaft may have been over stressed.
I dont see where the problem is.![]()
Look on the bright side, it can't happen to yours because it never leaves the shop.......
Needs a lot of fuel and air, plus that would involve actually starting the engine.....
