I would write a letter to the BBB they will add alittle extra pressure. Consider looking around for a contingincy lawyer they will write a letter threatneing a lawsuit but fram will propbabkly settle out of court.

Any update on a settlement? I recently took a trip down south and shared this with several folks that swear by Fram filters.........they are no longer believers. :-laf

I am watching as well, I have a different brand that would really love to have my business so your results with this claim are a huge influence in my decision.
Please update us.

Well as of today, .......still waiting. FRAM seems to be more responsive than their claims handling company. They keep throwing more requirements each time i meet the previous batch, last week they finally sent me a release letter, however the amount was wrong. A couple of weeks ago they even made a claim that i wasn't the registered owner, according to their records. When i asked who owns it...they didn't respond. Tomorrow i plan on emailing them that my time will start to be added to the bill, each phone call and email will start costing them more, since they haven't responded to last Thursdays email about the amount. Usually after 4-5 unanswered emails i call FRAM and let them know, the claim company usually responds with in a day.

Sounds to me the claims people are trying to wear you down until you will settle for what they offer. Stand in there and fight for what you believe is right.

Dave

I guess I'll call my Fram rep tomorrow and tell them that there are a lot of people watching, maybe they need to get a new claim company or tune up the existing one.

I may request your claim number by a PM, would that be alright???

Please do NOT do this at this Time.... let the legal course play out otherwise Frame may take the stand the party is not acting in good faith to settle.

OK, I will leave it up to fireplanner.

Your call fireplanner and I shall do nothing until asked to. When you give me a green light I'm going to rip them a new one. I have defended their company on this forum numerous times and to watch this drag out is intolerable. It's cut and dried and it's way past time for a check in your name.

Mike.

So disappointing to see this drag on after it looked like they would do the right thing. They could have taken something bad and made themselves look good by stepping up and resolving it promptly. That's out the window.

I had a Fram filter ruin a engine on a Toyota Camry when it had 24,000 miles on it. Toyota replaced engine so I didn't have to deal with Fram. I had just bought my new 1996 Ram 3500 diesel and had purchased 6 new Fram filters for it. Needless to say I didn't use any of them and have since used only Fleetgard oil filters. Will never use another Fram.

After reading this I'll never use Fram again. I allways used Fram oil filters out of trust for the Company, over the many years of changing my own oil, like I've allways bought Vavoline oil to go with it. As far as my CTD goes, I've never changed the oil, only the dealer has, dont know what they use.

I was talking to a new Cummins owner (09)couple weeks ago, He has a fram on his truck. Told him about this fiasco going on now, and advised he remove it ASAP. To avoid any problems. Hopefully got him hooked on the TDR.

FINALLY!!!
The claim was paid today, $6,692.00
Was an ***** whoopin, but finally received the check. FRAM seemed to be all for settling the claim...their claims paying company was not. At one point they made the claim that I didn't even own the truck, but its over.
Still will never use another FRAM filter, FRAM product, FRAM toilet paper or eat a complementary FRAM lollipop!!
