Why the high levels of Copper indicated in an Oil Analysis?

05 Cummins UOA

My son runs a lube shop in Utah and he sells a whole bunch of it, says the fleets are always telling of better fuel mileage and cleaner oil with analysis, Monte

Yes. Schaeffers is a top notch oil company that's been around since the beginning of motor oils and lubricants. Not many people hear about them because they don't advertise and they don't cater to your average consumer. Typically used by large commercial/agricultural fleets in conjunction with extended OCI programs. Many of the big farms locally use it as well as the local crane rental fleet we lease our cranes from. I suggest finding a rep local to you if you intend to use it, you will get it cheaper than the internet prices.

I looked into Schaeffers not too long ago because I understand they are top notch quality, and yes, to get any to the west coast was hugely expensive and only came in bucket fulls. Not for the average consumer.

Did you locate a rep in your area?

Schaeffers is available in multiple countries all over the world, so it shouldn't be a problem getting it anywhere in the lower 48. A rep will sell you whatever you need, I have ordered quarts from mine in the past but try to place my orders with my aunt and uncle when they put in orders for the farm as it is cheaper that way.

There is also their website you can order directly from in any quantity, but it will be more expensive than finding a rep near you.

I actually called the company and asked them where to get the stuff and they're the ones who told me that it probably wouldnt be the quantity I wanted nor the price.

That's ridiculous! Whoever you talked to either misunderstood your intent or needs some serious help in customer assistance!

If you are serious about it look up a local rep through the first link I posted. I've met several guys over the years and have yet to find one that doesn't know his stuff.

I agree but thats how it went..... I cant imagine any misunderstanding since I called them to talk about their product and what I have and what I'm experiencing with differential temps. After a decent conversation about him explaining to me how superior their products are, the guy I was talking to said they only sell it in 5 gal buckets and to get it to the west coast would be very expensive.
