I know that the cold weather Pkg. is a little over kill, but we do go to the Sierra Mountains here in California aka Taxifornia (among other names #ad
) and I don't want no start problems.

Well I have a IC-706MKIIG HF radio and a Icom AH-4 Tuner in my Ford F-250, I also have a IC-2720 2m/440 VHF/UHF, I also have Alinco DR-235T Mobile. They are all installed in my truck. I really do not want to drill holes in a 60k truck,

More than likely I will just carry and HT, with me. Then when we get the Jeep Rubicon, I will have my radios installed in it.

I have a Yaesu 857D in my '09 and am quite pleased with it. It took quite a while to get rid of all the noise on HF, but it was well worth it!

What you REALLY need, is a tinker CTD! Pre-98 trucks can absorb all the $$$ you want to spend, and aren't smogged in CA. For a daily driver/fun driver, keep it stock! (Somebody check the pre-98 thing) Greg

I use to live in that state, in the Victorville area and drove to the Port of LA for work. You can get up with with 8" of snow in the morning, drive through snowy roads, plowed snowy roads, could find black ice, some sleet, rain, high wind areas, dry areas, calm perfect weather and driving conditions and then arrive at work. All in a one way trip to work. That was my last winter there before retiring and moving here.

So you can 'never' go wrong getting the cold weather package.

Hey, even living on the Texas Gulf Coast, I order the cold weather package on all my trucks - just because.... Don't ask me where the winter front for the truck is, though. I don't remember since I've never used it.

I have to whole heartily agree with that statement.
Just talked with the dealer. He said that they are telling him truck will be delivered to him on 15Feb16.....I will believe it when I see it!

Past the emissions equipment, the only restriction in the factory exhaust is the 1/4" thick ring in the middle of the resonator. If you remove that ring, the entire exhaust system is a smooth 4" dia.
Not exactly, if you look it crimps down to about 3 in as it goes over the rear axle, and then back out to 4 in on my 2016!

Mine does the same, I assumed it was to do with the rear air ride items I have. so far my Son has not had any problem with his emissions back 5" pipe and he has the rear air ride.
