We bought the 8/120k max care for 2635. Others have gotten it for a 100 or 200 less.

Shop around, and search here for dealers that sell them at discount. I just told my selling dealer about the online quote I got, and they matched it. I have heard the amount varies by trim level. So in comparing what people are paying you have to compare trim level. They are VIN based.

If I never need it then that means we bought a trouble free truck. Little chace of that with all the expensive electronics. Second warranty we ever purchased. First was on a VCR deck, that never broke, so I been mentally banking the warranty dollars for years, and am ahead of the game. One 8.4 Nav unit will cover the warranty on this truck. Snoking

Anyone care to advise what they have paid for a Mopar Vehicle Protection plan extended warranty? Are these negotiable like the various aftermarket extended warranties? I wasn't interested when the dealer offered one, but after consideration, it might be worth it. My credit union that I financed through was offering an extended warranty, but after reading through the literature and some online reviews, I was pretty turned off that repairs would be made using a replacement part of their choosing. Essentially, non OEM parts in reading between the lines. Just curious what I can reasonably expect to pay for the Mopar plan if others have experience with it.

I was thinking of buying an extended warranty, but the finance person makes all the money You can go to Chrysler Owner Connect and they have all of the warranty's offered by FCA.

I paid $2060 for the 8 year 120,000 Chrysler Max Care warranty yesterday when I bought our 2016 Limited.
I called the number posted earlier in this thread (888 352 6103) and got the price before heading to the dealership (Neuwirth Motors in Wilmington NC). I simply informed them that I would like the warranty but that they had to meet the price in order to sell it to me.
No problem!

What is your deductible on the plan you got? SNOKING

And mine was priced at 36xx on there! Snoking

$100 dollar deductible. I also verified that the principle was refundable if I ever decide to sell the truck before I need or use the warranty...
The people at Neuwirth were very easy to deal with. I was pleased!

I believe these warranty prices are subject to price changes that are driven by some kind of actuarial wizardry...
I've experienced this before, sometimes e price goes up, sometimes down. I suspect I just hit the pool during a lull!

Well, you got the best price on record to date! SNOKING

I've read a few of these threads which talk about negotiating the price of the extended care (FCA MaxCare) warranty. I just talked to a rep. with FCA to get a quote and he says 8 yr. 120k is $3570, 7 yr. 100k is $3085. My question is whether anyone has been able to negotiate a better price directly with the FCA folks or if the lower prices have all come through a dealer? I only have 8600 miles on the truck and it's been flawless, but, as others have indicated, with all the electronics, etc., I'm considering an extended warranty.

I think the deals only come through the dealer and only when new.

I paid $1840 for my 7 year/70,000 mile Max Care.

But I have a lower trim than you. What you pay is based on what options you have.

The more expensive trucks cost more to warranty. However, $3000 sounds expensive.

Wondering if they raised the price due to higher than expected number of warranty claims?

I bought my warranty online through FCA 3-4 months after buying the truck.

I didn't even try to negotiate the price

This is way too much, you should be able to find them down in the $2000 neighborhood.

Heck, even I'm considering an extended warranty now. My 8.4 glitched for a few minutes yesterday but returned back to normal after a few restarts.

I know. And my rear cam in the tailgate glitches every time my wife slams the tailgate. I keep telling her these new trucks don't need slammed

The Finance Manager when we bought our 2016 2500 Laramie tried to sell us a 7 year 120k Warranty. But it took away the 5yr/100k warranty on the engine. He said that it covered everything, but I read it and it did away with the engine warranty.

Buy the extended warranty. Just my opinion. I've put it on most of my trucks, never used it on some but the couple times I did it paid for all of them and then some. Note that the cost is very negotiable. I dare say it's been almost free on some purchases, just depends on how close you're paying to the asking price.
