LOL, maybe the major f up was Dodge/Ram not going with the Cummins V8 like they were considering years ago. ;-)

Don't forget that engine was initially a collaboration with GM... Not defending the indefensible, just sayin'.
Well that explains that, I have never liked the Cadillac. I worked on a few in my early years, mostly tear down though, until the real mechanic rebuilt what I removed, after all I was only 17.the Eco-Diesel was originally designed to for use in a European built Cadillac.

Right there with you on that...these bottom end issues seem to be getting a tad more common.....FIAT needs to get their arms around it or these Eco Diesels will devalue like an Audi when the warranty runs out.
