I have an 01 ho245 truck 4x4 quad cab blah blah blah, long story short I developed an immediate severe tappet cover leak that lead to a slipping clutch I'm thinking rear main seal got dry then oil was added and the seal was already gone and doused clutch in oil? anyways I have another complete 01 so235 complete running truck. does anyone forsee any complications dropping the so235 (nv4500) engine into ho/nv5600 truck? what ecm should be used? wiring harnesses the same? input shafts on transmission the same? what clutch? what flywheel? (I'm sad I just replaced my vp44 on the ho motor) any help would be greatly appreciated! donor truck (so235) has rear drums apparently that helps date it. I've extensively searched the forums for this swap scenario and couldnt find it.
also, any pcm/speedo cluster qualms?
Reading this and then moving along without commenting? Cash me ousside howbow dah?!?

The engine swap should be the same the difference would be in the horsepower rated higher for the HO motor so use that ecm and all the HO sensors and use the HO flywheel
If you have a complete running and driving truck why not just drive that truck ???
Good luck on your swap

well the donor truck is junky so that wouldnt make sense for me. i understand the power differences already, I'm more looking for insight into problems I would have completing swap differences in pigtails etc.. thanks for weighing in!

There not going to be any difference between the 2 motors because every car manufacturer would go broke if each vehicle was different ie: plugs wiring etc ect
Just put both vehicles side by side then look at each one ???
