The tow hall & exhaust brake switches have randomly not been able to not turn on my 13 Ram. On the next start they might work or not work. I have not done anything between starts. I always try to activate at each start. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

My 2014 truck had this problem......#@$%! Next time it does it, try locking/unlocking the doors with the armrest switch, with the truck running....... sounds corny but that would make them start working on my truck. FCA could never fix that on my truck and eventually bought it back.

Same issue with my 2013 only way to get the switches to work is to lock the doors with the switch on the drivers door. I've also had the truck not start unlock the door stick the Playschool key fob thing in and turn it and nothing. No dash power, Nothing works. Only way to get it to wake up is to remove the key fob and hit the lock and unlock button on it then all works normal. Stupid computer controls

My 1500 will do the same thing. The buttons for 4wd and the ones in the center above the console will not work as well as the lights for those buttons. Cycling the door locks wakes them up, it's a random thing and does not happen very often.

I know when I get near my truck with the fob in my pocket, I hear little noises and small stirrings. I guess the truck starts waking up when it smells the fob. Is the door lock/unlock thing mentioned just waking things up that didn't wake up normally? Is this happening on keyless entry and regular entry trucks?

I believe this is correct, the doorlock/unlock always woke up the switch panel........I spent a number of hours hanging with the tech (who is a friend) chasing this problem. The module for the center stack switch panel doesn't wake up when the panel goes dead. After FCA ran out of parts to replace on my truck, they concluded it must be a software issue..... I had the pushbutton start. One interesting thing is that of all the many times I had the dead switch panel after a push button start, if I used the keyless remote start up, I never had the dead switch panel.........
