Looking for some opinions. I currently have a 01 2500 6speed and would like a 2010 newer to fit the whole family better when going camping or hauling cattle. the deal is I dont put very many miles on the truck now, this year was alot around 4000 I believe. So its hard to justify 40000+ on a nice used one, but I am seeing trucks with higher miles going for good deals. Question is would it bother any of you to buy say a 2010 with 200,000 miles if you know that you might put 2500 miles on it and what problems should I look for. Looking at getting a 3500 dually keeping 01 for ranch duties, especially with our ND winters.

that's a tough one, the intakes will be plugged with soot if it wasn't deleted. the turbo's could be as well.
might see if you can get one to let you take it to shop to check intake for soot build up before purchase.
unless you can find one that was deleted and left alone, not supped up. just stock power delete. that might be worth looking into.
could always look for a mega cab, 3rd gen, could save some cash and have lotsa room for the kids, i love mine.

If the higher mileage truck has service records and is all stock should be good if the price is right. Without service records I would say pass.

You can buy a new Tradesman for low 40's. I would not buy a new one before the 2013's with DEF given low usage. The earlier ones need to be driven a lot and driven hard!!
