Transducer and pressure solenoid replacement

I have 06 3500 with smarty. I am about to replace transducer and pressure solenoid for the 3rd time over 5 year period. My question is what can be done to stop this premanently from being an issue. I know replace trans. didn't know if there was a more affordable solution. The truck is my wife's daily driver. While I have your attention. Going to be replacing shocks and steering stabilzer. Any suggestion for that and probably need to replace steering box. Any help is much appreciated.

The solenoid is likely not the issue, the transducer is the typical problem and they are just junk. Replace every 30k when you exchange the fluid usually solves the problems.

Thanks for the reply. Any suggestions about the shock springs and steering?

Bilstein for the shocks and stabilizer, only good choice. For the steering box get the OE updated big box, solves a lot of the problems with the original box.

Did you need to adjust the bands? I have 186000 they have never been adjusted.

If you are going to do the replacement, I recommend the GM conversion (https://www.electricaladvantage.net/48regovernorsolenoidhd.aspx). I did this last summer and it was super easy and it really made a noticeable difference in shifting and performance. This was my 3rd solenoid and transducer replacement and I am hoping this one lasts much longer.
