I figure once you unlock the ECM, and change any parameter from stock all bets are off regarding potential engine warranty
Never got into the ECM--read what was posted.

Were you one of the people that posted about it was the oil cooler lol.....![]()
How does Oil make its way into the Coolant, Failed HG? The Returning passage have 0 PSI when all the Coolant is +12PSI , I could see coolant in oil but NOT reversed VIA HG.

Well Fiat did the right thing here. I am paying for some but hey I run aftermarket stuff however, that this failure was caused by the module is tough to prove. Having good counsel is always a good thing. For me I would have paid for the entire repair --- in the long run this was cheaper for Fiat than dealing with my litigation attorney.
They can tell you had something on there plain and simple. If your Dealer was doing their job they would have mentioned the tuner to the area rep and you would have been on your own. They don't F around anymore.
Sorry but you would have wasted a fortune trying to defend your self and LOST.
It aint like it used to be, consider your self lucky!!!
The truck will be finished by cob today. All of the parts will be listed on the invoice we will see exactly what was replaced..
Got the truck yesterday afternoon. Very happy with the results. The temp runs 5 degrees warmer maybe because of the new thermostat and the oil pressures are the same now that I changed out the
Very happy with the results. They did everything I asked to be done and then some! The Stryker Module is still there just not plugged in lol. With the new water pump, coolant and thermostat the engine is running at 190 vs 185 as it did the previous 48k. The oil pressure and temps are still pretty much the same after I changed out the Rotella and Mopar Filter that the Dealer uses. Engine bay was clean no oil or grease anywhere.
Only bad part is the mpg's went down a little on the same roads and highways I travel everyday going to breakfast in Fort Worth. May put the 260k ARP head studs in next week just to ensure that this will not happen again. Cause of hg failure was a stretching of some of the head bolts. Oh well---if you play with higher hp and tq then sometimes bad things can happen.
Cost me a 1k "deductible" for the "warranty" portion of the repair altogether with the EGR components replaced but total was almost 6k but about 900.00 of that was in parts and labor for replacing everything I could think of that could be done while it was in like fuel filter service, several new hoses, serpentine belt, fan assy, actual EGR valve cleaned the EGR cooler was replaced under warranty along with some other parts that were heat discolored.
The 6.7 / 5.9 do NOT have the Sensor for live oil PSI, its a switch thats trigger at 10PSI.
You would need to install live gauge for actual OIL PSI.
Well mine does watch it every single day. You need to do a little more due diligence.
Due diligences? I went back looked at your posting No mention of live gauge, I pictured mine. that one is My ED, I can provide the exact Gauge in My Cummins.
For members not familiar with Most OEM oil PSI readings are programed conditional readings AKA (LOM) Lie-O-Meters.
