I'm in South Florida. Miami. Kernersville in NC shipped me mIne. I paid a little more to transport because their policy is to only transport 500 miles.

I live up in New York, on Long island. I bought my 2014 from Kernersville Dodge, in North Carolina. I was imprssed with them. Got a fantastic deal on my truck, they treated me like royalty, flew me and my wife down to the nearest airport (80miles away), and brought me to the dealership. In and out in no time, no BS, handed them the check, they handed me the rruck. Had a very good trip home, nice and steady. 600 miles. They have a huge inventory and will ship. I am not a big fan of dealerships, this one however earned my support. I will buy my next from them, if I live that long.

I went to the Dodge Ram page and "built" my truck there, then sent the order codes with description to five dealers within an hour and a half drive from me. There were only three who would actually take the time to order the truck. Others wanted to sell me a "similar" truck off their lot or "look for" a truck. Of the three, one was far cheaper and actually quoted me the "out the door" price immediately. After presenting this to the other two, they were not willing to touch it. This dealer sells LOTS of cab/chassis trucks and is one of the few that actually stocks the manual transmission trucks also. I did end up ordering mine with the Aisin.

I was happy with my Kernersville purchase. But since I was buying a Tradesman, there was likely a somewhat less mark-up on my truck vs. a Laramie with an "Aisin".

They are likely to put more investment into courting a buyer for an $75-$80,000 truck (sticker price) than a truck that stickered at $49k.

I heard about this lunatic up in the Poconos. He’s a lunatic because he has a mind bending inventory of Rams (and other FCA) but he’s not inclined to deal. He let a co worker walk with cash in hand. But if you want to browse, this is the place! He had loads of leftovers when I checked and plenty of hellcats.

So I decided to check my link. I filtered for just man trans trucks. He’s got 32 of em in all flavors, beginning with a $47k reg cab and this 4 door.

He must be trying to pocket those factory rebates that FCA passes out to move 1 & 2 year old vehicles.

Instead of passing those on to the customer?

The tone I got from my friend is that he’s acting as a horarder/ wholesaler and is trying to corner the market at a certain point after production.

Some States can't compete with that inventory. But why would one want to lose money hoarding 2016 & 2017's?????

This is an old thread brought back to life. I live in Idaho and I’ve dealt with both Dave Smith and Dennis Dillon.

Had an earlier in the year, bad experience with a salesman at Dave Smith. Made a deposit on a vehicle and had difficulty with salesman returning phone calls. Basically ignored me for 3 days even though he was working. Sales Manager was a stand up guy who refunded my deposit. I will still do business with DS. Can’t fault the business as a whole for one incompetent individual.

Took my business to Dennis Dillon. Ordering a truck was painless however their suggested delivery time was not accurate. Either way you can’t go wrong with DS or DD.
