Mine 2012 rotted and broke in the same spot last year. The rest looks fine. I fixed the break with a 4" coupler and it has been good since. Also take a close look at your oil pan. I had to sand off the rust and pitting and paint mine.

I already did my oil pan. It was rusted two years ago. Like I said earlier, the quality of these trucks is disgusting.

As for the oil pan, I'm glad I don't live in a part of the country where they apply road treatments.

The black finish on my oil pan is intact so my trip up to the frozen tundra last December doesn't seem to have made a difference

It sure looks to me like you have the short term problem fixed right!. Hope this works for another 200K mi... (maybe ???)

Tramplineman….
The first thing I did when I saw your post was to look up the warrantable items on the emission systems, EPA, DODGE/FCA etc. I am with Landshark, since that is a 14' I think I would beat the "warranty dog" to death and all the way into the grave regarding that issue. That's inexcusable for a 14'.
So try to pursue the warranty path, just don't give up. I certainly would, we pay too damn much for these trucks!

That's a beautiful repair job you did, BTW!

Thanks Chad!

My wife called on Tuesday and we’re waiting to hear back. I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for good news.
