where can I get decent quality headlights ? I bought the cheap ones Genos about 3 years ago and the adjuster brackets have broke and now the lights just flop around

Pretty sure I have the NSF ones according to a build sheet I got when I bought my truck.

They were purchased thru keystone no clue on the actual mfg. Rockauto has a listing that has some price options.

But there were some threads not too ling ago that folks are able to go with the sport headlights with a few minor modifications, those are not quite that easy to come by either.

Nothing wrong with the quality of the headlights I have from Genos. I've put more than 200,000 miles on the truck since they were installed, and the miles included OK and LA, two states with the worst roads in America, plus CA which isn't much better.

My truck spends a lot of time bouncing through fields and gravel roads but it really doesn’t matter they shouldn’t have broke . I don’t want to buy another set of cheap junk

Maybe a salvage yard for original bases then maybe replace the headlamps. While the whole part is not available, parts are still showing up.

I have looked high and low for something better than Depo, so far no luck on anything better for the sport replacements. I believe one side might still be around NOS but the other side not and not all of the parts either, I was thinking of trying to recycle some stock sports from a junk yard and then restore them. My second set of Depo's is starting to get hazy, I actually wouldn't mind replacing with same EXCEPT I don't think the quality is there nor is the lens as good as OEM.

I do think I found a brand of LED bulbs that are far better than anything else AND more importantly actually designed to mimic pattern of a halogen incandescent bulb. No 9004 or 9007 yet, BUT I expect they will. I refuse to put a bazillion lumens LED in that is bright but not focused with defined cutoff, I don't want to be one of those asshats, but I think these hold promise: https://www.diodedynamics.com/led-bulbs/sl1-led-headlight.html

Rode with a friend last night that has them in his Chevrolet Canyon and they are nice! I will pop the $300 for four bulbs if/when they make a 9004/9007.

They look great but I'm far from impressed with the beam and light output. I understand they have a coating on them to fight yellowing which I think makes them slightly darker.

Its a well known topic that aftermarket headlights for the 2nd gens are low quality. You just have to get lucky in getting some that are decent...
My next move for the ones I have is to do the relay upgrade and see if that helps with output. People say it does because there's significant voltage drop through the OEM wiring which makes the bulbs dimmer than they should be.

If you are looking for more better light output, save yourself some grief, time and money and do the relay mod first. Build them yourself or buy good quality ones and you will notice the difference immediately.

Last I checked Mopar Sport assemblies were no longer obtainium, so Depo's (not nearly as good) plus wiring update is about as good as it gets 16 years after the 2nd gen body style ended. If you know where there are NOS Mopar sport assemblies available, I am all ears.

I have the TYC replacement and they're not so great... I'm going to get a relay harness and see if that helps but I'm getting the feeling that nothing will be as good as my OEM Sport headlights. Those were amazing...

I've tried all combinations except led conversion,, tried sport lights-all the so called improved vision bulbs,, so far the best is the 80-100 bulbs with the heavy duty wiring relaks..Stock head light lenses.. Best visibility yet.. My 2 cents..

But unfortunately you can no longer get the factory headlight assemblies... Aftermarket is the only choice and they seemingly all suck.

Your correct,, they take a lot of adjusting to get beams in correct direction.. Mine work great,,bought on ebay,, kinda fragile, instal in 2 pieces, sig. lense last..

So far I cant get mine adjusted right... If I have them anywhere looking normal on the truck like the factory ones were then the beam is almost pointed right in front of me. To raise the beam any higher makes the whole assembly move so crooked that it looks stupid. Getting tired of messing with them too.
I also installed a relay harness to get full voltage to the bulbs. That didnt do much of anything. So I'm leery of spending money on higher wattage bulbs for fear they wont do anything either.

I just added a Daniel Sterns harness (took out the old SUV Lights one) added SuperNova V4 LED's into about 3 year old DEPO lights from Geno's. Still messing with adjustment, haven't got it where I want it and I think I am out of adjustment screw travel. These LED's are rated pretty highly, I think it is just the crummy reflectors.

You'll be amazed the difference the 80-100 bulbs make,, rock auto there under $5. each..

I used the Dorman brand aftermarket Sport lights per Daniel Stern's recommendation,Daniel Stern's pre-made harnesses with Philips Xtreme-Vision 9004 and 9007 bulbs. The difference in visibility is amazing...The Oem or aftermarket housings aren't designed for LED bulbs....
