Is that a common technique? Thx!Nice pick'em up truck. Your support team is backing you up. Recommend keeping slight throttle going down hills.
Cheers, Ron

Dealer told me FCA directed them to try and fix the truck. Good luck with that! After that it's going to auction.Sad that we'll likely never know the root cause, but SCF gets a new truck so I guess it works out in the end.
Yep. Owners manual says 500 miles before towing.Whatever you do, don't hook up that goosneck and pull another tractor any time soon. Give it a few miles first.![]()
But the loaner got hitched up with just 75 miles on it. Hated to do that but it worked just fine.Yep. Owners manual says 500 miles before towing.
Not really, just making fun. Although, when I had less fear and sense, I would use the downhills to get speed to make it up the next hill with 18Klb Travel Supreme. Bone stock 2000 Ram 2500 4x4 with one of the first 6spds...235 hp and forget the tq.Is that a common technique? Thx!
Not a loaner lives here. FCA bought back my regular cab. Got this using the FCA credit a few extra $. Kinda miss the regular cab but they are hard to come by and we needed to solve this problem before we get buried in farm work. Haven't towed with it. Needs a few more miles. And frankly I'm nervous. So that truck is a quad, and I remember you mentioned that you prefer a std cab. Is this a loaner?

Ol Besty...
Yes it does.Good luck with the new truck. I’m sure once you get a few tows under its belt you’ll be more comfortable with it. Does it have the factory gooseneck setup?
Yep. The dealer was looking for a 3500 w Aisin reg cab and couldn't find one... This cc is rated for 17, 160 lbs. I'll never see that. So I settled for this. If it breaks I'm getting a FordGotcha. So that’s the result of the settlement.
Good eye! Trailer Weights 5k lbs. The Kubota 6,600 lbs.Nice trailer, looks like 8k axles. That tractor is a light load, about 6k I would guess. T-case should last till the cows come home![]()
