So basically, there's an actual part that can be replaced?!? WOW! I'm pissed off at FCA. Weld my truck and make an adjustment a PITA instead of replacing the part.
I want them to replace the whole part! Not weld some BS on mine.
They will never get the chance on mine, at least the welding part. Its either a new part, no welding or nothing at all. Mine has NEVER come loose. Its a simple thing to check. Hopefully they will come to their senses, it wishful thinking I know .
2014 Thier's a Big difference between Repairs performed and (Repair Description)
Its Not likely FCA will be welding on anyone's vehicle That does NOT GIVE approval for the repair.
I put in my vin#, and it said parts available, and mine is a 2014.
You are not going to get the 68338342AB part as there is an order block on it, just like there is on the V06 recall part. There are still no parts or repair procedures out for the 13-16 trucks.
And you are not going to talk the dealer into just replacing it as the parts have to be ordered by STAR including the dimensions, and there is a parts return for analysis. The dealer is only going to get stung once for this, and they will learn quickly.
Also they have been welding them since last week when the recall was issued. All stock trucks are done so anyone buying an 18 already has the recall completed, most likely by welding.
