"He said the EPA is really stepping up their enforcement against deleting."

Not possible, I thought the EPA was abolished in 2016.

Wishful thinking. The EPA has cleaned up the environment, and Most People comply to the CAA, but this Near 0 NOx is crazy, and Humans and animal waste produce a from of NOx N2O.

Its the Hydrogen that Mixes with NOx and breaks it down to harmless nitrogen and H20, the urea NO just a pass thru additive to meet the Near 0 NOx. So all your doing is taking one existing chemical and adding it to meet the Near 0 levels.

Just more Paste and copy KT.....Like always.

So BlueTech Engines with DEF equipment are less problematic....remove Your Blinders.

I did the testing and have been using the methods I prefer for over 6 years. They are NOT Illegal ,just and Option You seem to opt out of.

According to KT who claims that his Data is solidly base supports his agenda and Opinion, and is not willing to put forth 0 efforts ( Paste and copy ) is not effort.

Its best not to be dumfounded by supporting The Keystroke Paste and Copy King's.

You seem to have problems understanding the WORD recommend " put forward (someone or something) with approval as being suitable for a particular purpose or role" its just NOT recommended.

You twist up every comment to fit your Agenda.

By the way % only lowers the freeze point , the % freezes and thaw at the same rate only the temp changes at Higher percentage and max out 10-12F.

Just more word salad from TC like always, the "I know more than the experts" king. :D

Maybe you'll convince someone else, as for me, I'll take Cummins' word for it and just buy DEF like the rest of the world.

(looky, I put forth 100 "efforts" because I did not copy and paste in this reply!) :p

That makes no sense. None. In fact you contradict yourself in your first sentence. This is what happens when you place value on "effort" to produce a post regardless of its validity. Even worse when you suffer from the Dunning-Kruger affect. This is where copy and paste adds value, specifically when it is valid because of its content! not the effort it took to put it there.

I'll take the facts any day, whatever the form or effort put into sharing it by the messenger.

Here's how DEF really works, no mention of your faulty chemistry explanation. Skip to 5:00 if you're not interested in the backstory.

Me thinks there are a lot of cyber bullies on this website because they refuse to think outside the box.

Thank you TC for your effort, and the many contributions you have made on every website past and present.

You think I am picking on him? You think debating and presenting facts is bullying?

Reminds me of a bunch of school yard bullies saying it can't be because mommy and daddy and the paper chasers say it ain't so.

Do you know for fact in real world driving TC is wrong?

What facts are you referring to? The paper chase facts. Any real world facts to back you up? TC seems to have real world experience and in tropical MN non the less.

As for debating, LOL.

Friends,

EDIT: Sorry, corrected to read KTHaxton, NOT KTOOM.

So I'm going to throw in a question for TC and KTHAXTON:

- Is it fair to say running diluted DEF in your Ram truck will work without a problem with the truck (no codes, no adverse impact to hardware, nothing discernable)?
- BUT will the output gases (exhaust) meet EPA standards?
- As far as anyone knows, in states that test emissions, is NOX levels out of exhaust tested?

Just curious about the CHEMISTRY in and out.

Thanks for the education and the patience to dummy this down.

Cheers, Ron

I know his chemistry (how DEF works) is wrong. So the very basis of his supposition is based on incorrect information.

I will not be testing the freeze thaw cycle at varying concentrations to prove what Cummins already stated, again, I trust them and the experts who created the standard. I think those Q&A's are good enough information.

Further, yeah, this is splitting hairs, but I still think this method would be construed as defeating an emission device. As this article states https://www.ppclubricants.com/is-all-diesel-exhaust-fluid-def-the-same/ , if the mixture is not 32%, it cannot be referred to as DEF. If Ram and Cummins state to use DEF (further, if they list the ISO standard, and I'm sure they do) in your truck, and you are not, technically you are not following the requirement. Again, unlikely to get caught but again.....there are some compromises here that seem risky, especially when you consider this appears to be a solution looking for a problem. I'm sure there was a helluva lot more testing in the creation of this technology and this standard, than what TC did in his garage. Further, to claim there is no reason for this required concentration (when there actually is), and to imply they don't know what they are doing, but he does, he is likely to get a response.

I have no issue if he is going to do it, or others, but if he is going to claim they all got it wrong, but he got it right, some folks (like me) are likely to come by and challenge it.

The mere fact that TC has proved the experts wrong and with more than just a couple vehicles speaks volume to corporations leading the masses to believe what the corporations want them to believe. No conspiracy theories here so please keep that out of discussion. If it wasn't for guys like TC and their garages, which his is not a small garage thank you, we would all be still driving around in 165 horsepower trucks. Will corporations always build a better mousetrap? Sure they will. Then someone will discover a build around and the corporations will build a better mousetrap, it's a continuing cycle.

So at 32 % it freezes and thaws uniformly, maintaining it's percentage during those events.

So that is the percentage they agree on!

Then vehicle manufacturers designed there SCR systems to work at that percentage.

Did I miss something????? o_Oo_Oo_O

Do you have any facts other than Keystrokes...Your going to pass Up the Leader-king for paste and copy. I can tell you belong to the world because the world is what your Follow.

KT , I don't claim to know MORE then "experts " . What I do know is you have provided NO facts , or evidence other than Paste and copied Opinions. No Statues . Or Reg on 32.5% Na-da. The only requirement is CAA that's it and API Grip on big Business Scum ( Individuals ) at companies like Peak, Prestone. No need to guess what affiliation that group supports.

Since you asked, yes.

The fact that the system will work on less concentration and perhaps diluting the percentage as a maintenance criteria ever so often might actually help the injector nozzle from plugging. I'll refrain from smart Alex memes.
