The clutch switch has always been a separate replaceable part in the past. But your right I can't find it either. Just the whole assembly like you say part # 4581761AC. But you can get it online for $250 not 400.

thanks fellas. im, for now, just going to tie the wires together. slightly frustrated, and need to just think about work for a few days....cheers! and thanks for the part numbers too. chris

interesting. i called napa. they told me it was unavailable ( 2018 ) thanks for the info. much appreciated!

They probably don't even know what to search undero_O, it is listed as a clutch starter safety switch and shows one for the '18 model.

I giggled g56 clutch nuetral safety switch and that's what came up on a few parts sites.

I then called my local dealer and they confirmed. It says its for up to 07 but it doesn't matter. All the switches are the same and they haven't changed in x number of years.

I'm Currently using a switch from my uncle's 05 and it works just fine.

comrades - one last question - if i tie the wires together on the clutch switch, will i fry the cruise control? just wondering. i have strange luck, so just throwing that out there. thanks! cheers!

Everything should work normally EXCEPT the fact that now you can start the truck in gear without the clutch. I do know it won't effect the cruise system. I had mine this way for over 3 months while I tried to figure out the same issue.

I can be your test dummy if you want. I have my plug and can give it a shot but I remember my cruise control still working.

Then something must be messes up on my truck. I was just in my way to work after reading this so I put in my cruise control, hit set, waited a mile then pushed clutch to the floor and cruise stayed on.

made a jumper from a sensor i bought online. had same connector on it. for a older dodge... turns out the dealer who had my truck for 30 days never tied up the wires correctly, and the clutch sensor wires fell down and got pulled out by the clutch pedal itself. this is the kind of thing that happens when a kid takes apart a brand new truck at the dealer. will be interesting to see if they warranty the new switch replacement, given the wires fell down from their tampering with them? cheers comrades!
