Hello all,
So my 2015 2500 Cummins Turbo actuator went out resulting in a $3800 repair bill from our local stealerhip.
The truck is still under the power train warranty but the dealer said that this repair was not covered under the warranty. The Turbo housing IS covered, but not the actuator that is bolted to the Turbo and, last time I checked , is required by the Turbo to actually work. No amount of argument/reasoning/ plea for common sense with the dealer or FCA (non) customer service would peruade them to even help with the bill at all. No discount, nothing.
The turbo actutator part is one of the simplest looking , non complicated things I have ever seen. Price is $$3200 ! THEFT.
No warranty coverage of a part that is CLEARLY part of the power train.....THEFT.
FCA is a joke. Poor cutomer service. Poor design of Cummins Turbo. Junk.
Very expensive truck with poor quality parts and design.
Last one for me.
