RVTRKN, the truck-RV pic IMHO is setup PERFECTLY! Truck is level, good bed clearance and RV appears to be running level!
Would it be possible to get your input on a couple of recent hauls? The top one I delivered yesterday...the bottom one I picked up yesterday and am on my way to Baxley, GA with it (doing my 34 hour restart in Colby, KS right now).
Thanks!!!!!!!

Since I know you really don't care what I say about your loads I will comment anyway.

First pic perfect, second a bit nose high.

Honest question, may not get a honest answer but I will try. Since I have no idea if the gooseneck hitch is adjustable for height, are they? I assume since it's an unloaded trailer it makes little difference but with a full load I am sure being more level will give more even tire weight and that is always good.

Ok, I finaly have a little time to myself after the trip. My impressions of the alternate hight option worked well to give me a 1/2" more clearance. It was weird when lowering the weight onto the truck, then the level system kicked in raising it. I ended up with 6+" under the 5ver, and the puck system was awesome. It was a solid connection without any movement. I did start to get a slight feel of a little back and forth motion, even the wife picked up on it. I figured the motion was attributed to the water weight moving from the fresh water tank to the grey and black tanks forward of the axles. It turned out to be from getting to a 1/4 tank of fuel (I realy miss the 54 Gallon tank on my old C&C), once I filled the tank it was as smooth as on the way down to Glamis. AND the power, WOW. I never got the the electric brake setting to change, I'll look into that on the next tow. I followed the instructions in the manual, holding the right arrow in, while pushing the up or down arrows changing the settings. I had no issue with the brakes, because I drive cautiously when near other vehicles or in city driving. I couldn't caculate the MPG because I had 50+ miles without the 5ver. But the lie "O" meter indicated 9-10 MPG. Well gotta feed the dogs, more later on this.

Are you using an extended pin box?

Stock pin box, look at picture, I adjusted it to that when I bought the 5ver in 09. I bought the 5ver used, and adjusted it for the 07 C&C. The adjustment changes I made on the B&W puck system, didn’t require me to change the pin box position. So I left it as is, I need to paint the pin box now, just never got around it, in 09.

BTW, thanks TFucili, I feel like an idiot, when you open settings on the 12” screen you must scroll down to see the trailer brake settings. You would think the manual would note “Unless you have a 12” screen, see page xxx.”

No sweat! I have found the 12" Etch-A-Sketch actually slows me down for most things I try to do. Besides all the numerous glitches mine has, and the defunct right side camera I am trying to get looked at, it has been a disappointment. Even the manual HVAC buttons, which interact with the screen anyway, do weird stuff.
