Not sure if applicable to your headlight but... My 2018 2500 had the "projector" type assembly and I went with Headlight Revolution. I did all the lamps up front along with the Mishimoto fogs. The high beam and low beam AND canbus adapters all fit inside the housing with no issues, Takes a little careful tucking and pushing but it all fits and seals back up nicely. Color temps matched from hi/low/fogs. The difference was 1000% and you didn't blind oncoming vehicles... Looked factory as in cut-off and throw pattern just a heck of a lot more light.

Couple questions for ya.

I have been looking at the 9005 GTR Lighting CSP Mini's on their website. They list as $129, but the ones you have are $188. I found them for $129 and $188, do you know the difference? Product description is the same.

Why did you go with different bulbs for low/high beams when they both use 9005's?

Thanks!

You need the mini's cause the space is tight where it's located... hence "mini". Same color temp as the other bulbs just a more compact package plus.... When I called customer support before spending some $$$ they specifically said this is the best set-up for the RAM projector type assembly and other lamps will not fit. They were nice, big upgrade from the halogens. I'm sure the price difference is due to the fact that I bought them almost a year ago and they've lowered the price.

Just call them up and give them the P/N's for the high's and low's that are mentioned on my invoice... You may need to purchase a pair of the PWM modules for the mini's as they are not included, low beam lamps come with them.

I'll bet that the ones you bought had the PWM stuff with them and the ones I am looking at don't, which is why they sell them at 2 different prices. I have AlfaOBD so I don't need the modules.

I'll give them a call, thanks.

Headlight Revolution just had a sale on Morimoto XB LEDs, buy the headlights and get free fog lights. I bit the bullet... early birthday present for myself. Still waiting on the fog lights but WOW! These are nice. A bit pricey but I will admit, they are quality lights and housings. Once I get the Fog lights I will do a comparison to the old lights and put up a post.

I am leaning towards the CSP Mini's in all 3 locations.

I spend a lot of time on dusty roads and think that bulbs without fans might last longer.

The headlight is pretty much sealed up... I think it has gore-tex breathers for pressure differences.

Lifetime Led sells some pretty nice lights, decent pricing too. We just ordered a set for the wife's Journey (easier to install) but when they got here the UPS driver accidentally dropped the box and simultaneously stepped on it so it crushed the box and broke the lights. We are waiting for a refund from UPS so we can get replacements ordered. Thank Goodness for the porch camera and garage cameras, got the whole thing on video lol.

Once they are installed I will determine if i want them for the truck or not.

For projector style OEM headlights:

HID in the projector low beams

LED in the reflector high beams

LED's do not work well in the low beam projectors. They never will. Due to the projector lens, the light will be scattered with LED's.

LED's work well in the high beams because they are instant on, the HID's have to warm up and do not "flash" well in the high location.

If you get the correct LED bulbs and orientate them correctly in the housing you'd be amazed at how well they work and look.... My 18' looked amazing, The LED bulb performed perfectly with the optics of the projector. Light cut-off, light throw, color temp..... They were all perfect.

I honestly do not like HID's.... Way to bright, Blind on-coming traffic easily.

Aftermarket HID’s......might suck.
OEM HID’s have a distinct cutoff and are some of the best lighting one can source.

I’ve never been flashed by oncoming traffic driving the Challenger T/A.

I have aftermarket HID's, I installed them, and have never been flashed. Nor have I been pulled over! I pass multiple State Troopers on a single lane mountain pass, with my fogs and low beams (HID) and have not had one turn around and give me the what for.

Basic halogen bulbs are "too bright" if they are not aimed properly.

Yes... OEM of course are nice but aftermarket can be lousy.

Alright... I went against my instinct and ordered HID's for the low beams and LED's for the fogs/highs.

Morimoto Elite HID 9005's 35w 6500K
GTR CSP Mini 6000K LED's

The HID's are here and the LED's should be soon.

Well I ran into a snag with the Morimoto install. I couldn’t get one bulb to turn on, but I also couldn’t figure out why. Swapped all parts around and one side would work and one wouldn’t. Between that and it having appeared used I returned it. I didn’t think the kit was as high of quality as it should be for the price. The connectors didn’t fit nicely and the gaskets were pushed out of the way with it connected.

I needed to use the truck so I put the pair of GTR CSP Mini bulbs in the headlights and a 9005 halogen from the high beams into the fogs.

I have about 4 hours of dark driving with them and am very pleased with the light pattern of the LED’s in the projector housing. I do need to work on the aim a little still but I’m waiting until I decide what to get. I’m torn between another pair of the GTR CSP mini’s or a brighter light for the low beams, like the S-V.4 3,600 lumen bulbs.

Bummer to hear about the issues with the Morimoto's. I installed Innovited HID's, they were much less expensive than the Morimoto's and I was impressed with the quality and packaging. I still haven't seen anything that impresses me more than HID in the lows and LED in the highs.

Well after 3 attempts I ended up where I had originally planned to go, CSP Mini's in Hi/Low/Fog.

I did 200 miles before sunrise Friday morning towing up to Challis, ID. All winding mountain roads.

The light is awesome, zero complaints. Crisp lines from the low beams, and great illumination will a 3 sets of lights on.
