Well, first I'm new to the forum. 2019 Ram 2500 4X4. Good info here, so thanks for a great place to read. I've had four other diesels, all Fords going back to 1987. This is my first Ram.
Now the bad. Last Friday I was on a trip with the Ram about 700 miles from home when she died. Towed into the closest dealer to learn that the CP4 had blown and metal shavings were all through the fuel system. The service writer showed me the pump and it looks like Silverjays pics above. My truck had just turned 3800 miles. I had to get back home due to the Apple Fire and the truck is at a dealership 700 miles away. As of today, no work has been done as the dealer had to elevate the issue to corporate. No idea when the truck will be repaired. The service writer told me mine is not the first one they have seen like this. I will advise how the repairs are performed and\if they replace the pump with a CP3.
