Sorry I had to edit some of the pictures and go back to 2006 to figure out how to do that on this forum. Nothing special just a work truck that’s going to pull a trailer every day.Do not see the pictures.
Just took delivery on a’21 2500. Which character in the VIN tells what pump it has?It only shows CP4 in the parts system for 2021, so if anyone can get a VIN we can see if it shows up by VIN.
Just look under the hood.Just took delivery on a’21 2500. Which character in the VIN tells what pump it has?
Not on this truck zero information about anything! The sticker with the emissions is somewheres in the engine bay, that's the interesting one with all the codes on it.
comrade - bought a 2018 2500 g56. at 6k the clutch went out. got it back few days later, broke again. clutch out. then 30 days at dealer. im a contractor and same as you no truck no work ( or limited work ) thankfully i have a 2001 2500 that barley works anymore, and a 1995 subaru wagon ( that has never broke in 296,000 ) i will say ram did step up and make my january truck payment, which i find honorable. i find the parts availability / shortage somewhat concerning these days, but everyone will blame it on the china flu. merry christmas. cheers!![]()
There will be 2 stickers like always. Possible but doubtful, the pump info will be on the valve cover sticker, but the one I asked to see has been on the hood near the right side/ hinge. That seemed to have some strange info on it, and I asked to see that.
I was looking at some trucks online, and some that I saw were ‘20’s and were still enroute so I couldn’t see the window stickers on those.
The 2021 Cp3 being retrofit may be unlikely since the timing gear cover and pump gear are different
That's why I think they are spinning that 2021 CP3 faster than a 2018 CP3... In it's form up to 2018 it was already under utilized so bumping it up a few rpm wise is a no brainer. I doubt Bosch made a bored or stroked pump only for FCA Cummins.. Bosch just said to FCA "spin it faster for wanted results".
