I have a 2017 Forrest River Surveyor Fifth wheel rv. I was doing brake adjusting under the trailer and noticed the spring shackles looked funny. After jacking the trailer up and further looking, the axles would swing from side to side quite a lot. I ordered a Morryde wet bolt kit and replaced all bolts and shackles. No more tail wag when changing lanes on highway. Hard to believe Forrest river could put plastic bushings on these trailers and think that is a good idea. The really bad thing was when I purchased the trailer, I paid for the upgraded Soft ride suspension system that was supposed to be heavy duty.

My trailer has about 5k on it.

After some reading about trailer shackles and bolts, I pulled mine and chucked up in metal lathe! Made my standard bolts into greasable and has made a big difference when towing! I've just got a dovetail equipment trailer but would make any trailer tow better and suspension last longer. Any trailer that I'd acquire from this point forward, I'd do the same if not equipped!

Unfortunately that’s a common problem, even on higher end trailers.

I replaced mine with the Dexter EZ-Flex kit that included wet bolts. I’ve installed 3 of them now. Great upgrade.
