My 19 Ram 1500, 17 Ram 5500, 14 Wrangler all have it. In addition, I installed Genos fresh air intake filters as well on the Rams and all Rams since 2000 Ram. We live down a 1/4 mile gravel road that produces talcum powder dust.

$80,000.truck and they cant put a cabin filter in that you can buy for $30. WHY?

They did... all Ram trucks, as far as I know, have them since 2017. Unless someone has a better explanation, Ram used old stock without and blended new stock with. Sounds plausible anyhoo.

Got the deed done, this was my arsenal.

Put the filter in today. It sure didn't simply slide in. Hole was trimmed right to it's outer edge. Felt like something inside both sides was hanging up.

Changed out my cabin air filter today. It had about 101,457 miles and almost 11 months of use. I used a Fram Fresh Breeze #CV11671 and it was $21.17 including tax.

For those naysayers stating they’re not needed......check mine out, and it’s a Pavement Princess.

I change mine 2x a year, my 2012 did not have a slot, I just laid it over the fan assembly, fit perfectly... the pine pollen up high where I live is serious... keeps the interior less dusty as well
