Well.....I didn’t get my 55 gallon drum of Rotella T6 in 5W40, due to allocation issues and an oversight that skated my original salesman’s order, but I was able to get three five gallon pails today.

Nice

Whats a pail going for these days,.. although I think Im only doing annual changes so maybe not cost effective for me. I sure am glad I didnt buy a drum of 15w45 a couple years ago like I was going to... it would take me forever to use it up only 1 gal at a time in my classics...

About $133/5gallon pail, plus 6% KY sales tax.

I've been using the Delvac 1300 synthetic blend 15w40 since Rotella T6 5w40 has been out of stock so much. $13.18 a gallon for a synthetic blend and the 5% off through the Walmart credit card seems like a good deal to me shipped right to my door for free.

Rotella 15w40 T6 is $23.44: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Shell-Ro...el-Engine-Oil-1-Gallon/869812640?athbdg=L1200

Delvac 5w40 ESP full synthetic super duper stuff is $32.99: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mobil-De...ic-Diesel-Engine-Oil-5W-40-1-Gallon/167510327

Delvac 15w40 Extreme Synthetic is only $21.42: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mobil-De...etic-Diesel-Engine-Oil-15W-40-1-Gal/319665447

Its hard to find the T6 5w40 though! Thankfully I don't need it here in Alabama. My trucks like 15w40 just fine.

So far the bucket prices are higher than the 2.5 gallon jugs almost always. The Valvoline Premium Blue 5 gallon buckets are almost $3 more per gallon on walmart.com' s gallon price. When I looked at the Delvac 1300 5 gallon buckets at my local Walmart I immediately realized I would save over a dollar a gallon buying the 2.5 gallon jugs. Go figure. The Mystic synthetic blend 15w40 5 gallon buckets are $110 something, like $22 per gallon. Not a good deal IMO, I rather use the cheaper gallon jugs and buy them by the case. I have a few farm machines, a motorcycle and diesel trucks that can use 15w40, so I keep an eye out for deals!

Scored 4 more gallons last night at WM... now I have next oil change and the one after covered. Funny thing, I walked back there without a cart for the first time since they NEVER have it and the shelf was FULL. Murphy's Law I suppose.

Well, back to DEF, the US depends on China for the bulk of its urea supply. Urea is also used in many fertilizers. China has banned the export of urea, the primary ingredient in DEF.

According to this USA import report on Urea, China is a small player. Russa is way bigger.

so will russia turn off the tap of urea now? like they did with nitrates ( fertilizer ingredient )
food shortages on the way. among other things. paid 4.55 gallon for diesel today in golden , co.
yay ! ( extreme sarcasm ). cheers! :)

No danger of food shortages. They just need to cut back on federally subsidized corn and sugar production.

$5.35 here in NC on the I-85/I40 corridor. I feel bad for the truckers!. its about 30c cheaper off the highway but the local truck stops have all set the price higher. Funny, that fuel in the ground did not cost them that much, all this speculation is taking a toll on us normal folks.

The fuel pricing changes like that because they don't own the fuel in the ground. It's a commodity in tanks and priced by market. Long ago did stations stop buying truck loads of fuel due to fact they could purchase a tanker and the next day price drops and they're stuck with higher priced fuel to sell while every station around them is lower! Most station can't even set/change price, all done over internet by whoever owns the tanks! Crazy price swings going on! locally around me @ $5 a gallon!

correction... was $5.35 when I took my son to school, on the way in to the shop at 10am it was $5.53 strap your belts boys its gonna get bumpy.... glad I have 100gal on board.. going to get the 250L back out when the rain stops.
