So I'm running errands for other family members on my day off.... It's about 93 ambient and the A/C is only operable at highway speeds because I still haven't replaced my clutch fan that had its harness chopped by its neighbor. I get off the highway, sitting in traffic, just listening to my A/C compressor cycle on and off and thinking to myself.
"This compressor is probably original with 242K on it... if it locks up and throws my belt I'm going to have a stressful day off from work in which I might be waiting for the Hino flat bed truck I usually drive at work to come and tow me."
All this to say.... Does anyone know of a part number for a shorter belt excluding the a/c compressor from the accessory circuit? I know there are a/c compressor delete kits which are essentially an idler mounted where the compressor was. Though part of me thinks because there are delete kits the likelihood of there being a shorter belt are slim because why mount and idler when you can just bypass it with a shorter belt and achieve the same results.
