Lots of hundred dollar bills two credit cards in case one gets hacked 2022 3500 7300 miles. Two fuel filters for sure. Do you take a oil filter. Do you take a quart of oil to top up 2500 mile trip shouldnt use much. Dealer over filled by 2 quarts at 3 k oil change . Minimal tools normal. But I really can’t work on it anyway. Spare to 80 lbs. tools to change tire. Let’s see what you guys take. Heavy 6 ton bottle jack Breaker bar to bust lug nuts loose etc. some one will help me if I have a hundy or two. I’m 72 and I can drool if needed. Handi cap plates

Back before the COVID you could assume bigger towns and city’s had things but that’s not always the case now days. Shortage of camper antifreeze around here now for a example. Rainex orange is in short supply 28 mm socket to change the fuel filters

Maybe a set a fuel filters, full DEF tank, air compressor, tire plug kit, 20V impact gun, quart of oil, anti-gel/emergency fuel treatment (if the conditions warrant), and also some cash/spare credit cards. The only tools I carry would be for changing filters and tires. I wouldn’t have the parts to replace anyways.

Cell coverage is really bad as soon as you enter Canada, and now that the season is almost over there is a lot less traffic on the roads.

Dont forget to install the ArriveCan app on your phone and dial in the needed information to enter Canada. And it needs to be done every time new for every crossing.

I've used mine lots, but generally not on my tires. Fixed a lot of tires for folks in the middle of nowhere, which is usually when they realize you're supposed to check tire pressure in the spare too.

At your age a Sat-phone or an emergency Sat-beacon.

Garmin inReach for me. It's been a great asset for tracking, communication, and emergencies alike. We haven't had to use it for any personal emergencies, but we did get an ambulance moving to meet a guy 1/2 way on a 3 hour trip back to town after taking a nasty fall at a hot springs. I don't recommend breaking your fall with your face on a sharp rock.

My wife knows about that app. We have all shots but need to take are shot cards. Folks are still popping up with COVID around here from time to time. We think the Dawson ferry is up and going again. I’m checking fuel stops etc driving range. There’s pump def in Whitehorse

At the border you neither need the cards or the app, the systems are connected. Only thing that the Officer does is scan your passport, then he sees all the information he needs.
M ake sure that you do the ArriveCan app the latest at Tok - there is no internet beyond that point - no WiFi at Chicken.
I've heard from people that the Canadians refused entry and sent them all the way back to Tok, fill the app and come back again.

Add to above, I keep all the tools in the truck already to work on most things, and spare filters, serpentine belt, keep a fire extinguisher. Probably a bunch of extra stuff I don't need. Going on a trip usually involves a trailer, so add a compressor and tire repair kits, valve stem replacements as well; add the Milwaukee drill/driver set and bits.

I didn't have a trailer aid, blew a tire on 465 in IN coming back north from the Ozarks, would have been nice to have. Had a shovel and some pieces of 2x8s so it worked out alright.

Wouldn't apply to you, but since I have a 2013 with the dual radiators, I carry a lower radiator hose. Changed out the upper one with an aluminum wye "Y" and regular hoses about 6 years ago. I also carry a spare hydraulic clutch mechanism, a spare serp belt, and a few other small items that may be difficult to source due to supply chain issues. One of those small items is a gasket for the third brake light, but my memory fails me on the other items.

Basically, I carry two fuel filters one for the factory filter and the secondary fuel filter (I have added) + an oil filter. Otherwise, I do not leave home without two major credit cards. I found as I have gotten older, I don't want to climb under the car or trailer to fix something. The Visa and Mastercard work great, plus I am not carrying extra weight that I do not need.
