Hey Everyone,
I have an issue that I'm trying to troubleshoot and could use some help with. 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4X4, 5.9 Cummins, Edge with Attitude Ver 1. The truck has started surging at about 40-45 mph when under light acceleration. I suspect it is the TC having issues locking up but I am not sure. I get about a 200 RPM increase on the surges, it will do it a couple of times then settle out. The truck is running fine at all other speeds. The Attitude display on the Edge system recently wet out and I don't know if that is related to the problem or not. I've talked to Edge and they recommend removing the Edge system to see if the stutter problem resolves. Removing the Edge system intimidates me, I keep imagining a dead truck after everything is removed. If anyone has any input on the stutter at 40 mph, or where to get an old Edge Ver 1 attitude display, or removing the Edge it would be greatly appreciated.
