Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) MPG drop-Time for injectors?

97 12Valve Oil Change

The only one-piece manifold I'd mess with would be Speed Steed and they're crazy expensive but worth it from what I'm told. I'd go with the ATS 3-piece if you can find one. Mine came with allen head bolts and washers. They never loosened up on me for 400K miles.

I called a diesel mechanic in Calgary that works on 12 valve Cummins. He said to his knowledge neither ATS nor BD get their casting done in North America these days.

He said the difference between those two brands and the PDI 3 piece manifold(not on sale), in his opinion, are nominal.

The before sales tax, sale prices for the BD today is $492 and ATS $473. PDI $ 370 regular price.

My BD two-piece Manifold leaked after about a year at the connect between the two piece.
The outer casting developed something like an egg shape and wasn't tight anymore.

Went back to a factory Cummins one-piece after that.
I'm done with Aftermarket.

The 3pc ATS I installed on my 98 12V at around 100k is still going strong with wayyy over 400k. My Son has it in DFW, TX. I remember making a jig to assemble it as it came in three pcs. End pc in the oven and center in the freezer if I remember correctly. I used the OE manifold set on a pc of maple to get the pattern correct drilling holes in the wood and using 3/8" dowels to get the spacing proper. Good times!!!
