Hi, New member to the forum but have been reading here for a long time.
I Have a '20 2500 37,000 miles on it. I have been having an issue with the oil level constantly rising, I always get analysis done with every oil change. There has been an increasing trend of fuel dilution, with the most recent sample at 5%.
I have been to my local dealer's heavy truck center. The tech was less than helpful. Even though I gave them the oil report and pictures that I have been taking of the level on the stick he told me;
1. I'm not checking the oil correctly
2. I'm not letting it drain long enough.
3. My aftermarket air filter could be causing it.
4. These trucks are allowed to make oil.
5. These trucks don't have injector problems.
Needless to say all I heard out of his mouth are excuses why they don't want to look into the problem.
Background
This was starting to happen prior to the cp4 recall being completed. I was hoping that would fix it, but it seems to have gotten worse. The truck occasionally has a stumble at idle but not always. I noticed over the last year the re-gens have gotten much more frequent about every 200mi and 5hr of run time. Previously it would re-gen every 500-600 miles.
I believe there is an issue with an injector or a O ring, but how do I get the dealer to acknowledge a problem and perform diagnostics? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I'll include the pics of the level
