I have a new to me 2022 Ram 2500. I have a flash drive with a lot of music loaded onto it that I'm trying to play through the radios media player. The radio knows that the drive is plugged into the USB port but says no media found. I trying using it in a rental Jeep Compass with the same results but yet it works just fine in my daughter's Expedition.
Any ideas??

How are they arranged? They should be just listed on the drive and not in folders. Have found that when there are file folders separating the music by artist or genre, they may not be read. That's what I've come across in situations. The software between the manufactures are way different! the other thing might be the software needs to be updated. Check here to see; https://www.driveuconnect.com/support/software-update.html
Hope that you can get it solved as it sure is nice to have that uninterrupted music to listen to.

According to a tech at Uconnect, the page at your link has not been updated for two years.

Was your flash drive formatted under NTFS or FAT32, exFAT? I don't remember which one I had the problem with, but it seems I had an issue when formatting with NTFS, or was it exFAT. Reformatted with FAT32, reloaded the music and all is happy. There may be a flash drive data size limitation with Uconnect 4 which I forgot...64MB, 128MB??
Which Radio do you have 8.4, 12?
Uconnect 4 or Uconnect 5?
As far as folders, you may be able to access a folder's music through the Browse Button. It would play only from that folder...IF my memory i correct.

Uconnect 4C manual:
Browse
Press the Browse button on the touchscreen to display the browse window. The left side of the browse window displays a list of ways you can browse through the contents of the USB device. If supported by the device, you can browse by Folders, Artists, Playlists, Albums, Songs, etc. Press the desired button on the left side of the screen. The center of the browse window shows items and it’s sub-functions, which can be scrolled by pressing the Up and Down buttons to the right. The TUNE/SCROLL knob can also be used to scroll.

FAT32 is the "universal" file system that most systems can read. NTFS is a Windows specific file system. Flash drives (and SD cards) are almost always formatted to FAT32. Using Windows, insert the drive, open File Explorer, right click on the drive and click Properties. The file system is listed on the page.

It could also be the format of the music files. I stick to MP3 but there are several other formats that may or may not be supported.

I'm not sure how the drive is formatted. I'll have to look it up. My radio is the UConnect5 if that helps.

My truck is in for service and some other work so I'll have to do some more research when I get it back.
