Removing the Complete APPS Assembly From Engine

Power Steering Pump / Vacuum Pump Conversion

Having a hard time finding where this broken vacuum line goes. The white one obviously goes to the transfer case, and I will patch that. But what about the black one off the side?

One end goes to the vacuum pump, one to you transfer case, and one runs across the firewall under that rubber trim to the HVAC.

You can see it here on my ‘98.5 zip tied to the wiring harness.

I can’t help you there, I don't have the truck anymore.

That tubing gets so brittle it will break if you look at it hard. You can get some air brake tubing and vacuum hose at the parts house to replace it all pretty cheap.

Ok, thanks. That's a good idea, I'll probably replace it all. I didn't even knew I broke it, just looked in the engine bay, and it was broke in a few spots

You can buy the entire under hood vacuum harness off Amazon and probably other places for pretty cheap. I replaced mine last fall. This is an OEM part and guessing it must sell a lot since they are still in good supply. Easier than building and splicing, it just all plugs into.

Shelby, Can you send a link for this vacuum harness on Amazon. Thanks!
