I ordered a Pac brake telling them I have a stock turbo and am putting a 4in exhaust on the truck. I thought I was going to get a 3in. direct mount and got a 4in inline mount which would put the brake way down the pipe and make it hard to service and clearance does not seem to be good either. Does anyone have any input for me. I am thinking of sending back the kit for a direct mount kit. They never even asked which type of mount I wanted.

I've used both styles, but on a first gen, and I'd take the turbo-mount. This page lists the part numbers so you can pick what you want...and describe both styles as 4-inch but if the turbo number is correct I'd disregard size. It says you'll need a C11342 adapter if running a 4-inch aftermarket exhaust, but you might wait and see what your new exhaust looks like...you could always order the adapter later.

Well I am 2nd gen and already have the exhaust that bolts on to 3in flaring out to 4in It just seems more complicated and a tight fit for sure.
