Thanks, sag2, I will do that, would've went with a dry element, but they were on backorder, and my filter housing was damaged, so it was lesser of 2 evils. will probly switch over to a dry element when they become available.

Lots of good info on here and I get you felt attacked. I would get the dry filter at this point. It's sad these companies try to make people "think" they need something but the reality is what they have is perfectly fine.

I thought I was doing the right thing on my 99 Tahoe and went with a conical AFE oiled air filter. Car wasn't running well sometime after. Stopped by my long time Auto shop. He said pop the hood. Then he said dump the oiled filter as it is messing with a sensor. He said he had seen this many times.

Ya, I didn't think it was so much of an attack. I included the S&B part in initial post because it was what led me to see the puddle. My post describes the sequence fairly clear, but I guess not clear enough. I started working in a Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/Jeep dealership in 1976. Spent 27 years there, the last 20 as Service Manager/Owner, and witnessed K&N filter fad during that time. Said the same thing that was mentioned earlier in this post. Went the S&B route because of the cost and availability of factory replacement stuff.
I belong to a few Mopar restoration forums, as well as Drag racing ones. It just seems like you can't ask a question, anymore, without getting a lot of unwanted Rederick.
At least I view it as such. There is No doubt that all the info provided by you guys isn't useful. Apologies for coming off the way I did, must of got up on wrong side of town this morning. Jim

This looks like most peoples turbo inlet on the new 2019+ engines that get posted asking the same question.

If you were to open up the turbo inlet on your 2019, then you would see the same sort of thing??
If you get a minute, would you take a pic and post it back…would be helpful for sure !

It’s laid up for the winter so not really accessible. Here’s a couple pics from other boards I follow of 2 different people asking about the oil as well
