2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Brake problems

If a guy wanted to have unfettered access to the front of his engine (cam swap, etc.) can the condenser just be gently moved/rotated aside and supported, or is complete removal required as the FSM states?

I need to reseal the timing cover, oil pan, and vacuum pump, and am hoping it's easier to do with the front cooling devices removed.

You can do it. This was my ‘98.

Finale after 20 years Cummins released a new gasket for the timing cover. It's metal/rubber and seems to solve all the issues of the paper gasket used before.
