Changing the LP is not as hard as it looks. Do it from the topside. Loosen your "gas cap" so there is no pressure in the system. You shouldn't lose much fuel at all. Skip the unplugging of the fuel line and just undo the 2 banjo bolts and electrical connector. I've done 2 of 'em and they are not...
Bosch 275's are a good bang for the buck. Not 100hp but economical both to buy and fuel wise. Like Blacksheep says DDP's are popular. Most agree simple cleaning or rebuilding shouldn't be necessary unless you have a LOT of miles or the engine is running badly.
I get the idea that the stock fuel filter is no longer there. The bolts need to be replaced since that silver plate is the top of the intake manifold. If you didn't blow out the gasket you can probably replace the bolts with some sealant on the threads and be OK. If you blew out the gasket its a...
Here is a idea that make valve cover removal and installation really easy and costs around a buck. Get a 1/2" street el from the hardware store and put it between the head and heater hose.

You can see the taper of the frame where the crossmember sits. It is ahead of the transfer case. The rear crossmember looking thing is the rear support for the skid plate. You can see a hole in the frame just behind...
I had the same thoughts about the crossmember when I changed my clutch.
Take a second look at where the crossmember sits in the frame. That area has a slight V shape to it. The crossmenber is supposed to be wider at the top. It takes a bit of wrestling to get that thing back in past the...
Thanks for the response. I been in the process of pullin' the head off this afternoon. Looks like Cometic is not a good choice so I been thinking about the marine 12V gasket and doing the mods myself if I can't find one ready to install from somewhere.
I modified the coolant supply fom the head to the heater core by using a 1/2" NPT Street EL and a 1/2" NPT to 5/8" hose adapter. This has provided additional clearance for valve cover removal. I'm actually in the process of removing the head to replace the leaking head gasket...
Well, I started to install ARP head studs tonight and the first head bolt that came out has coolant all over it. Is this normal? I don't see any reference to the head bolts going into the water jacket and I expected the bolt to be dry. The engine has ran good and no sign of coolant in the oil...
Hi Fred, I just got back from the car wash with it and couldn't believe how much came out of that thing. It was caked all the way through. Ya got to feel better knowing all that gunk is gone even if the temp gauge doesn't know any better. Glenn
