I see you are even a fellow BMWMOA member Rusty! I'm trying to get ready for the West Bend Rally in July. Any input is helpful. This bike is a 2002 BMW GS1150. I'll be back gotta take the wife somewhere.
The bike weighs 540# the bike carrier which goes into the hitch is 80#, I don't know how much the hitch is going to weigh. My RV is weighs Roughly 8000# empty, pin weight is 1670# according to brochure, probably close. Can gross 9670# on trailer. It has 225/75-15. It's a Coachmen Chaparral 30'...
I won't be towing another trailer behind my 5er ever, I think. I don't think I want that much going on. I just want to take a motorcycle sideways across the back. The whole motorcycle platform weighs 80#, comes with a 7' ramp and additional lights on the back. I know it isn't legal in PA to tow...

Chrysler has cylinder deactivation on many of their vehicles now as well as a few other manufactures. Why not put an electric motor on our diesels and have it run on three cylinders when all six are not needed and have the electic motor run stuff when stopped and assist when pulling out?
I've got a 1998 2500 4x4 Club cab with the short bed and want to know if anyone has converted one to a Dually? Anyone make fenders? Will a Dually's fenders fit on a short bed?
I have a 98. 5 4x4 Club Cab Short Bed 24V w/5sp. with a Banks Stinger Kit and Banks Brake installed. I'm only able to get the Banks guage to read 24-25psi boost max with Exhaust Temp at 1250 or slightly higher. Banks says I should see 30 -32. They told me first to change from the scotch lock...
Bilstein Shocks
Watch on the driver side, I noticed the stock shock stud had begun to rub into a wire harness. I fixed it with some electrical tape and some additional wire loom then made sure they stayed away from the shock with some zip-ties. The shocks will not explode if you cut the...
