I have a buddy of mine that has a 1999 3/4 ton that has a lift on it. his steering is horrible. you have to pre-turn to your turn and is very sloppy. iven with the lift on the truck will the 3 turn steering box help him out? The gear-box needs replacing anyway and just wondering if this will...
I live in Cynthiana just about 10 minutes north of Paris.
Thanks everyone for your replies but you have led me to come up with 2 more questions :-laf
1. How do you know if you have an air leak?
2. If i do discard the fuel heater how do you hook everything up? Or is it self...
I thought about that but here in Ky our weather can do anything. We have winters that can get down into the single digits but can also not hardly even break the freeze mark. I was goin to try to get a pic today of the melted sensor and post it but didn't get around to it. Can you replace just...
I was increasing the idle on my '96 the other day and noticed some wires kinda dangling and looked at my fuel heater. The sensor on top of the fuel heater that senses the temp of the fuel had melted down flush with the fuel heater and had totally destroyed the connector. I went to dodge after a...
How much of a increased drop do they have? I have been looking at steps but wanted ones that are lower than most. My buddy got some back country steps i think and they are right at the bottom of the cab and don't provide much relief trying to get up in dodges.

Hey guys hopefully tomorrow I'm goin to pull the tank and replace the infamous fuel level sensor in my 96. The question I have is the service manual says to put on a new locknut and gasket when re-installing the fuel module. I'm goin to put a new gasket on but is there any need for the locknut...
I know a guy who also got a input shaft from SBC that failed. I know several people who do not care for any SBC products. A couple of them competaive pullers.
I will agree that Peter has AWESOME customer service. He really made things right with me when my con-o went out. my truck at the time that I had SB clutches was dynoed at 315hp. The con-o i had started slipping severly and messed up the pressure plate. Peter sent me a con-ofe FREE! That's where...
I'm goin to have to disagree with common approval of SB. I was NOT happy with mine. In my opinion I would go with another brand but that's just me. I have had a con-o and also a con-ofe. and was not happy with the result from either one. Just my 2 cents.
From what I can tell the switch is not adjustable. all I can feel is the place where you plug the connector into on the outside of the transmission. Everyhting else seems to be inside and I didn't take the siwitch out to see how it works. I know it has a hex shape at the bottom of the plug to...
guys thanks for all the help. i found the back up light switch. its on top of the transmission just in front of the hole where your shifters go into the cab. can be easily reached by crawling under from the driver side and found by the brown and purple wires running to the connector that goes to...
I have a 1996 2500 5 speed and my back up lights do not come on when i put it in reverse. I have checked the fuse. I'm thinkin that maybe the back up switch is not hooked up (hasn't worked since transmission was taken out and re-installed). I am asking for info on where exactly the switch is and...
I have a '96 and have the same problem. I had a new radio installed (not because of no reception) and told my guy about it and he told me that the connection behind the kick panel had coome loose. he reconnected it but has since come back apart. let me know how it worked out for you.
If you look at the turbo where the silencer ring once was it's solid behind there. Removing the ring doesn't allow any more air to enter the turbo. But I do agree with the others it does sound great! That was the first thing that I done to my cummins when i bought it was take the ring out.
