Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
Idling is not a good thing for these trucks unless you alter your emissions and remove all the DPF/Nox filters. If you still have the stock emissions system and you use the vehicle for heavy work or travel long distances, then idling should be fine. I think the high temperatures will help to...
I am trying to find the Engine Oil comparison study done by TDR a while ago. I know I have seen it here, but can’t seem to find it now. Can someone post the link? Or post the information in this thread? thanks.
Have you changed transmission fluid and diff fluid? If so, what are you running now? I am about to change mine and would like some recommendations. Thanks.
This thread is almost an year old. I am wondering if anyone has any more experiences to share about this product. I have seen some Powerstroke websites and another cummins website where people are claiming ridiculous increase in mpg. Is this true?
I had the same issue. . My economy went down 1-1. 5mpg as well. the truck was really fun to drive for two days and then it got back to the same old crap. .
Band-aid. They did the same thing to mine. They reflashed it and the truck ran like it was running with a programmer. But the joy didn't last for long. Within two days, the truck was running like crap and the light came back on.
HBarlow, since you are being sarcastic at the pretense of acting wise, let me ask you to open your eyes and look into the "real" world. For your information Turbo Diesel register is not the only cummins forum on the internet. Oh. . and also, there are thousands of owners in other cummins...
I see two of the members saying no problems and they have only 10k miles. I hope your truck runs fine without any of the problems any others are having :). But the reality is it's just a matter of time and 10k is not that many miles. Also I failed to state earlier that the trucks that have...
I believe you have to do the EGR delete after the DPF delete for it not to smoke. I have heard of people having a lot of smoke by just doing the DPF delete. Try the EGR delete as well and see if you find any difference.
Do you work for Dodge?? From my experience reading a variety of reviews at various websites, the emissions system in this truck is very poorly (I should say extremely poorly) built especially on the 07. 5 and 08 models. It would form a line around every dodge dealer in the country, if they were...
I'd say get used to this Check Engine Light on this truck as it is going to show up very often. It is due to the poor quality of the emissions equipment on these trucks. 90% of the owners have this come up within very few miles of ownership and very often. That is the reason why most of them are...
