2nd oil change and sparkly particles in new oil?

Here's what I've used in the past: http://www.blackstone-labs.com/free_test_kit.html

    CEL and Code P0514

Had the TSB 18-005-06 Rev B reflash. Some of the noticeable differences: Definite cut in power when not warm. Even when in operating temp range, full boost won't kick in till around 170-180 deg. Glow plate comes on in warmer conditions. Before it seemed like it only came on under 32...

    CEL and Code P0514

Yes the dealer told me that the flash fixes both the battery code and the low intake temp code. The weird thing, is that the P0514 occurred after only 3 weeks of ownership and the outside temp was only 20 deg. If I don't get the flash, I'm worried about what will happen when it's -30 deg...

    Bump, anyone heard of this?

    CEL and Code P0514

06 CTD, 20 deg F this morning. After starting CEL came on. Dealer pulled code: Low Battery Temp. Said there is a flash that addresses this as well as "low intake temp" code (237?). Anyone know what else this flash has on it?? Thanks John

    Hissing noise at shut down???

Or it could be just normal turbo spin down. On my 97 with straight pipes, I could shut down the truck and walk around to the tail pipe in time to hear the last *sigh* from the turbo. Kinda cool.

Death Wobble Tsb From Daimler Chrysler

I also had the wobble in my '97. It turned out to be tires as well. I guess if you overload tires or have cheapies, the belts can seperate. When you hit a bump, the belt can go crazy. (i. e. Hit a bump doing 70 and the front end feels like its going to come off, its vibrating so hard. Have to...

Death Wobble Tsb From Daimler Chrysler

TSBs are around as long as our trucks are on the road. It's not a recall.

    Heavy Duty Floor Mats..

I also have husky liners. They are custom cut as well. I really like the back one in my QC because it goes over the center hump. Geno's carries them, as well as Cabela's. I actually got mine off Ebay for a bit cheaper, and still brand new.

    Gauge Time

Thanks for the detailed response. I was most concerned with the Optix EGT gauge going fritz after 30-45 minutes. Two cases of this, and one of them confirmed that they had indeed wired it correctly. Thanks again for all the info! John

    Cheap leather?

I noticed Geno's Garage has some good looking leather steering wheel wraps. Anyone ever used one of these?

    Time To Wax Before Winter

Meguiars NXT or Gold Glass. Both are great. The NXT smells better :)

    Gauge Time

David, I'm definitely buying my gauges through you guys, so no offense is intended here. I just want to make sure what I have read on this board is not an actual problem. These could all be wiring issues, but I never read about a fix within these posts, that is why I was concerned. I also...

David, Have the Dipricol's figured out the EGT bugs? MDietrich, thanks for the info!!

Got some quick questions about my new '06

I also have the starting problem with my 06 truck after a month of ownership. Never had it with my 97 12v. The regrets are building up.
