Had the TSB 18-005-06 Rev B reflash.
Some of the noticeable differences:
Definite cut in power when not warm. Even when in operating temp range, full boost won't kick in till around 170-180 deg.
Glow plate comes on in warmer conditions. Before it seemed like it only came on under 32...
Yes the dealer told me that the flash fixes both the battery code and the low intake temp code.
The weird thing, is that the P0514 occurred after only 3 weeks of ownership and the outside temp was only 20 deg. If I don't get the flash, I'm worried about what will happen when it's -30 deg...
06 CTD, 20 deg F this morning. After starting CEL came on. Dealer pulled code: Low Battery Temp. Said there is a flash that addresses this as well as "low intake temp" code (237?).

Thanks
John

Geno's carries them, as well as Cabela's. I actually got mine off Ebay for a bit cheaper, and still brand new.
Thanks for the detailed response.
I was most concerned with the Optix EGT gauge going fritz after 30-45 minutes. Two cases of this, and one of them confirmed that they had indeed wired it correctly.
Thanks again for all the info!
John
David,
I'm definitely buying my gauges through you guys, so no offense is intended here. I just want to make sure what I have read on this board is not an actual problem. These could all be wiring issues, but I never read about a fix within these posts, that is why I was concerned. I also...
