Better fuel mileage !!!!!!

I would have got a manual ,not the auto trans. this time! My 97 had a manual, put a 2-speed with it , love that set up!

Have you tried Tow/Haul . That changes the shift points .

There should one cable from the battery to the relay( solenoid) two little wires, too the relay & one large cable to the grid heater.

Its a flo-pro if I remmber right, I dont tow alot, but it sure helped my fuel mileage with the 5", girlfriend dont like the sound, too loud she says! I agree, but just have not had any reason to change it yet!!

I am tired of the drone from my truck, ( 5" exhaust ) Thinking of puting my 4" muffler & tail pipe in place of the 5" muffler & tail pipe ! So it would be 5" to muffler then 4" on back. If anyone has any other things ,that they have tried that works ?

I am getting about 1 1/2 to 2 better with my hubs unlocked. If I watch how I am drive,I can make 700 mile on a tank ( main tank only) Low fuel light on,gauge on the empty peage. I wish they was on the truck new, I drove 25000 mile before I put them on .

The exhaust valve setting from Dodge says . 026 for the 06 . Anyone know whats diff. from the 04 & 05 motors ? 04 & 05 are set @ . 020 Can they be set @ . 020 for the 06 & be safe ?

Why is the 06 exhaust @ . 026 ? The 04 & 05 are all @ . 020. Does any one know why ? Also can they be set @ . 020 like the older 5. 9s & be safe?

Also my manual locking hub got me 1. 75 mpg. better too!

I am thinking about a cam , for fuel mileage. I tow some (12000 to 15000 lbs) some times. Is there anyone that has changed there cam that could tell me if it did help there mileage & how much , and what cam you got. I am getting around 650 to 700 miles on a tank(solo) Thanks

Mike ran good, he was spraying on some of the events, but not all ! Alot of the other trucks was too. The thrid place truck did it all on # 2 fuel alone !!! Hats off to all of the trucks.
