    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Cant get turbo's to spool up

I would start by checking pulling some of the fuel out of the mix and see if your condition improves. You would also benefit by some added timing if you are still at stock settings. Something in the 16 to 17 degree range will get ya started. I agree that you are putting too much fuel in on the...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) P7100 Fuel Flow

edgeman: thanks for your input... I was not getting any fuel through the delivery valves at all. I must have had a cerebral stool or something. I found the problem today. The overflow valve was stuck in the open position. Anyhow... I replaced the overflow valve, primed the system, and the...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) P7100 Fuel Flow

Snappy: Thanks... I have already pulled off the filler tube and verified that the gear is turning the injection pump. I am stumped here. I hope, for the sake of my friends grandson, that the pump has not taken a dump. How can I verify that the arm is functioning internally and how much travel...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) P7100 Fuel Flow

Here is a picture of the P7100. There is a red arrow pointing to the fuel control arm on the pump. The arm as a forwards and backwards movement. When the arm is moved to the rear, it resets the rack and stops fuel flow. At least this is the way the kill cable is set up on the 95 that I am...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) P7100 Fuel Flow

Yeppers... When the cable is released. . the lever returns to the full forward position. I have checked to see if the set screw on the lever was loose to verify that the lever was not spinning on the shaft. I have been throwing everything in my TDR search arsenal at this truck. I have limited...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) P7100 Fuel Flow

My good friends grandson recently purchased a 95 2500 and was taken advantage of. I am helping him through his problem purchase and quite frankly I am stumped. Problem: No Start Overview: The truck has about 300K miles, the top of the pump has been into, and the previous owner removed the...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 12 valve Auto Transmission's

I recently had my transmission built buy James Northum at James Trans Tech. He is great to work with and builds a solid DTT transmission. I traveled 350+ miles to have him work on my truck and it was well worth the trip. I recommend at least calling him since you are in Oklahoma.

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 12 valve help

Take a good look over the truck. It sounds like it was pushed a little bit. Take the truck for a test drive and get it good and warmed up. Leave the truck running and check out the blowby tube and pull out the oil dipstick. If you are getting excessive smoke or oil coming from the tube or...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Suggestions and Opinion for recently modded 12 valve

Take it easy with the RPM's with the 4KGSK and stock springs. The transmission should shift before 3000 RPM but anything over 3K is asking for trouble.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) P0341 code?

The following thread has quite a bit of information on yor camshaft position sensor code. CPS failure symptoms?

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) power in lockup

The torque converter could be getting weak and need replacement. A worn out converter will still lock up but will not be able to handle the power input and cause a loss of fuel mileage.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) transmission issue

The 727 auto has a known issue with torque converter drain back. If the symptoms happen when the truck is sitting for a few days, I would think that it is drain back. Drain back can happen even when the truck sits overnight. Performance modifications to the valvebody can sometimes make this...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) testing tps lowest voltage 3.7

The TPS voltage should be close to 1 volt at idle. Check out TPS mythbuster it has a bunch of good info about the TPS. I have an in dash TPS. It allows great control over shifting and is alot less expensive than replacing the TPS.
