My 05 makes a noise but I believe it is the pinion bearing, it grinds alot at higher speeds when I let off the throttle. With my lift I did not add extra diff fluid for when the pinion was rotated up slightly. I jacked it up on jack stands and set the cruise and it makes the noise at the center...
Oops, sorry to hear that about your fuel tank, at least you fixed it, always check for clearance and if its going to be close put something in between, like a light gauge piece of sheep metal. If this was a gas job, you might not be here today...
Pics look great, it looks like I might be getting myself a set as well. My truck has 61,000 miles on the stock ball joints with 40" tires and I use it for plowing snow as well, not sure how long they usually last but I did notice my joints have play when I put a bar under the tire the joint...
