I bought one just like that on Ebay - caused a stumble at 45-48 mph... Streched the spring in the old one and it worked fine. I cross referenced the number on the valve and it turned up an application for a Fiat.

Use a bottle jack under the wrench to make the job alot easier - when you get under there you will see how it works.

Check for disconnected vacuum lines under the hood where they come out of the manifold and follow them looking for broken sections along the way especially the one that passes over the engine to where it goes into the fire wall on the passenger side.

What Joe G. said about the resistor is right on. I did mine permanently and sealed it with heat shrink tubing and dielectric silicone then zip tied it up out of the way. As it turned out, I havent had shifting problems of any kind at all since.

Make sure tire size is the same and pressure is even. Also, check transfer case lube for contamination and correct type.

I'm looking for a spray on bedliner and VORTEX system seems like a good choice. Anybody have anything to say about the stuff??? Thanks, Guy

Had the same problem and tried all the fixes. Finally pulled the connector at the OEM temp sensor, cleaned it with contact cleaner, scuffed up the contacts a bit and stuffed the cavity with dielectric silicone compound... worked in my case - lasts as long as 6 mo before I have to do it again...

True story... I had a #6 in my 95 - didn't do anything till I turned the star wheel all the way forward, smoke was not bad unless my foot was all the way in the floor, then took off like OMG at 1700 to 1800 RPM... Try the star wheel first. Guy

Try stretching the spring in the over flow valve- worked for me...
